Mind the gap

Here I am, still "minding the gap", still looking at the right side of the street when I cross, still searching for an even cheaper place where to eat chicken (Diogo, this is for you!)...but I am not in London anymore (London "IT'S GONE!!!" would say Julian !!), I am in Copenhagen now, ready to start this new chapter of my life. Let me spend a few words about the british capital: London is magic. Simply that. I've always thought that before this trip...but now, after I visited THE city and I breathed its atmosphere and I experienced its extremely huge internationality (!!!) I'm even more convinced that I was right.

I am sure, I'll go back to London, several times...but I am in Denmark now, and all my energies must be focused on what I have to do in next period, that means: MASTER THESIS!

I'm following my dream...hope you're following yours, as well.

Eccomi qua, con il messaggio "MIND THE GAP" ancora nella testa (per chi non è mai stato a Londra, è il messaggio che regna sovrano in tutte le stazioni di metropolitana), con l'impulso di guardare a destra prima di attraversare la strada, e la voglia di trovare un posto ancora più conveniente dove mangiare (pollo più che altro!)...ma non sono più a Londra, sono a Copenhagen adesso, pronto per iniziare questo nuovo capitolo della mia vita. Ma fatemi spendere ancora due parole a proposito di Londra. Quella città è MAGICA. Semplicemente magica. Sapevo che l'avrei amata già prima di andarci...ma dopo che ci sono stato, dopo aver respirato la sua atmosfera, dopo aver toccato con mano la sua incredibile internazionalità (passatemi questo termine)...beh, mi son reso conto che non sbagliavo! Tornerò a Londra, tante e tante volte. Ma ora sono in Danimarca, e devo concentrare tutte le mie energie sul prossimo obiettivo: TESI. Sarà un lavoro duro e difficile, lo so già. Ma ne vale la pena. Io sto inseguendo il mio sogno. E voi, state inseguendo il vostro?

My Halloween, one year ago...

Exactly one year ago, on 31st October 2008, an amazing Halloween party was going to happen in HaDiKo, Karlsruhe. I was there, and my face was completely changed (better, just HALF of my face was changed!). I was TWO FACE, from BATMAN. The most interesting thing was that I wasn't wearing any mask! My face was completely painted by Andrada, she made an incredible work!

That was the best face I've ever had (of course, the best AFTER my usual face! :-) ). This year, unfortunately, no party, no HaDiKo, no erasmus...! At the moment I'm studying for an exam I have in a couple of days, and I'll be studying all night long: tell me if you can just think of an Halloween Night MORE SCARING THAN MINE!!!

Esattamente un anno fa, il 21 Ottobre 2008, una festa stupenda stava per tenersi in HaDiKo, a Karlsruhe. Io ero lì, e la mia faccia era irriconoscibile (o meglio, solo META' della mia faccia era irriconoscibile!!). Ero TWO FACE (o DOPPIA FACCIA, per dirla all'italiana!), direttamente da BATMAN! La migliore faccia che io abbia mai avuto (ovviamente DOPO quella che ho di solito...!). Maschera interamente dipinta da Andrada...che lavoro!

Quest anno niente feste, niente HaDiKo, niente erasmus...pensate che in questo momento sto STUDIANDO per un esame che avrò tra pochi giorni, e studierò fino a tardi stanotte! Ditemi se riuscite a pensare ad una notte di Halloween PIU' SPAVENTOSA DI QUESTA!!!

Happiness - Felicità

Happiness is listening to a Pink Floyd cover band concert after a very annoying, unsatisfactory day and feeling that energy is coming back in your body when you recognize the first note of "Echoes".

Happiness is knowing that your girlfriend is happy

Happiness is smiling when you meet along the street an old woman wearing a glittered t-shirt written "Sexy girl".

Happiness is looking at your brother and your sister growing up and realizing that yes, we are still the same, anyway.

Happiness is everything makes you think: "I am alive".

Felicità è godersi un concerto di una cover band dei Pink Floyd dopo una brutta, fastidiosa, inconcludente giornata, e sentire l'energia tornare nel tuo corpo dopo la prima nota di "Echoes".

Felicità è sapere che la tua ragazza è felice.

Felicità è sorridere dopo che hai incontrato per strada una anziana signora con addosso una maglietta brillantinata con scritto "Sexy girl".
